Shadows in the lake

It was half past 5 that evening when I chanced upon a magnificent sunset while taking a shortcut through the southern edges of the lake. I remember that day in particular as the traffic was less and the benches by the water body were quite empty, a rare site at that hour of the day. As I strolled through the paved sidewalk, enjoying the warm breeze from the South, I watched the deep blue water of the lake. Ripples formed by the breeze were only strong enough to reach the banks. I turned my head to the West and saw an unforgettable sunset.

The day was almost coming to an end and I felt the need to return home. The trees are already filled with the chirping and tweets of the birds. Silhouette of long bushes and branches looked at me curiously as I followed the path that leads out to the main road. The busy rubble of the city welcomed me as I bid adieu to the shadows of the lake.
